Dinkelsbohl to the Castles

Our hotel in Dinkelsbohl.  Top floor on the right.  Across the street from the main church bell tower than clanged for ten minutes starting at 6:00 a.m.

Trucks can go 90, but tanks need to keep it to 70.

Two and a half hours to our next stop and we were out of Dinkelsbohl by ten.  The roads were good and great weather.  We made a few stops along the way.

Another stop along the way.

Truck stop with no trucks.  A little smaller than Jubitz.

First sighting of the castle

Lots of farm vehicles on the road going 30 kpm with no way to pass.  They were harvesting wheat and hay.

Our deck at the Romantic-Pension with a view of the flower pots and if you lean out, the castle.

We drove up the road to the castle area to get our bearings since we needed to be at the ticket office at 8:00 a.m. for the 9:00 tour.  Huge parking lots and throngs of people.  There must have been 40 buses wedged together in one of the parking lots.  Too many people so we took a short drive to Fussen and grabbed some beverages and a bag of ice and took them back to the room for happy hour.

We walked up the hill for a nice dinner. And spoke with the couple who were parking when we were earlier in the day.  The proprietors came running out trying to get us to park closer because they were going to have 5 cars in the 'lot' for the night.

The mini bar was a bring your own Aberdeen cooler, ice and a plastic bag.   It worked just fine.

The password for the internet was taped below the tube television.  I didn't try it out.  Any guesses at what the code is?  I couldn't get it and had to go to the desk where it was printed.  There couldn't have been any internet pirates anywhere in range, but they felt threatened.   Answer at the bottom.
